How do I know if 55-litres is the right size for me?

That's a great question! 55-litres is a pretty standard size and will do for a short 2 week holiday or a longer 3 month adventure. We're big believers in not overpacking as it's better for the environment if you pack light - the lighter the plane, the less carbon emitted. The 55-litres will help to ensure you bring what's essential, with room to squeeze in a bit more along the way.

We have some very handy size guides available that you can check out here. Our backpacks are built to fit the average female torso frame of 14 - 18 inches however the breathable back frame is adjustable and can be elongated by up to 6 more inches for any taller people.

We offer returns within 30 days of purchase which allows you to try our backpacks on at home to ensure they fit.

What is the quality of the backpacks like?

Great quality is very important to us and our bags have just that, if we do say so ourselves! The material our backpacks are made from is strong and durable, and the tight-knit stitching will ensure your backpack stands the test of time.

What are your backpacks made from?

We're proud to share that our backpacks are primarily made from recycled plastic. Our backpacks once had a previous life where they roamed the earth as soda bottles, water bottles and food jars, or in other words products derived from PET (polyethylene terephthalate).

To make our backpacks, these PET products are collected, sorted and recycled. They are then refined into flakes to create recycled PET that can be turned into products such as our backpacks! Using this kind of technology to recycle waste is a huge step forward to a greener, safer and cleaner planet.

Our backpacks are Control Union Certified with the Global Recycled Standard.

Where are your products made?

All of our products are designed in Ireland.

We have a fantastic partners across Europe and Asia who manufacture our products to a high quality and are committed to making these products ethically. All of their workers are paid above minimum wage and have reasonable working hours. Our manufacturer adhere's to our Ethics Policy which you can view here.

Are your backpacks vegan?

Yes, all of our products are vegan and cruelty-free. We love our furry friends and want to protect them.

How do I adjust the straps?

Start by putting your backpack on loosely. If you feel the back frame is a bit short for you, use the velcro at the back to make it longer (up to 6 inches).

Once it is sitting comfortably, do the following steps:

The first thing you're going to want to do is buckle the waist belt and adjust the position (using the shoulder straps) so that the padding rests on top of your hip bones. Make sure it fits snugly and is comfortable; you want it to feel secure but not pinch you.

Next tighten the shoulder straps so that they hug your shoulders and back but, again, don't pinch you. Most of the weight should be on the waist belt so that you avoid straining your back and neck muscles.

Tighten the load-lifter straps to bring the upper part of the backpack a bit closer to your back. The load-lifters should form an approximately 45 degree angle with the back panel of the backpack and with the horizontal plane that is tangent to the top of your shoulders. If you feel like the shoulder straps are starting to pinch your armpits or shoulders, you probably just over tightened the load-lifters. Like with all the other straps, aim for comfortably snug, not so tight that it’s inflexible.

Lastly, tighten the front strap which is also known as the sternum strap. Usually this should sit about an inch below your collarbone, but we have built our backpacks so that you can move this strap above or below your breast area so feel free to adjust accordingly. The purpose of this strap is to relieve stress on your shoulders by pulling the shoulder straps slightly closer together, however don't pull it too tight. Just remember, it's all about feeling comfortable and supported.

Backpacks for women

Is there a rain cover included?

Yes of course! All of our backpacks come with a built-in rain cover attached that can be found hidden in the bottom of your pack.

Why do the prices of your products fluctuate?

All of our products have a set price in EUR (‚ā¨). If¬†you¬†prefer¬†you can can¬†purchase¬†in AUD ($), USD¬†($), CAD¬†($), or GBP (¬£). However please note: the prices of our products in currencies other than EUR may fluctuate (up or down) from time-to-time based on the currency exchange rate at that time.

We're proud to share that the main material our backpacks are made from is recycled material.

We strive to make our products as sustainable as possible, however the reality is that not all elements of our backpacks can be made from recycled material (think hard buckles and zips). We are constantly trying to improve this and will continue to ask our manufacturers to swap disposable materials for recyclable ones.

In keeping with our beliefs, the packaging your backpack is delivered in is also made with recycled materials. Within our workspace we also make our best efforts to work towards our mission of a cleaner planet. We create minimal waste (preferring to avail of every service online), we avoid single use products as much as possible, and we try to reuse boxes and packing materials that come into our office.
